Study shows female-founded tech companies excel in employee satisfaction and retention
A new study finds employees in companies with female founders report being happier with their work / life balance , company diversity and salary compensation , as well as stay in their roles longer , compared to male-founded tech companies .
The CTO Club carried out the study , which analysed 20 of the fastest-growing technology companies with female and male founders . Looking at Glassdoor . com , scores were given by employees on each category of company culture , diversity , work / life balance , compensation and career progression . Data on the median average tenure of employees was gathered from Linkedin . com .
Compared with male-founded companies , femalefounded tech companies report higher employee satisfaction for diversity and inclusion ( 4.1 vs 3.8 ), work / life balance ( 4 vs 3.9 ) and compensation ( 3.8 vs 3.7 ). Employees at female-founded companies stayed on average for eight months longer than employees at male-founded companies ( 3 years vs 2.4 years ).
Employees at male-founded companies report being happier with company culture ( 3.9 vs . 3.8 ) and career progression opportunities ( 3.6 vs . 3.5 ).
Tyl by NatWest announces new payments partnership with FSB
NatWest Group has announced a new partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses ( FSB ) in the UK . This official payments partnership builds on the support the NatWest Group has given to FSB over the years .
In 2020 , NatWest Group established the SME Taskforce with FSB to help SMEs to respond to and navigate the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic . Working together with stakeholders from across the small business landscape , the two organisations worked closely together to support customers .
Just last year NatWest announced a £ 1 million partnership with FSB to provide NatWest business customers with access to independent support and education to help with the cost of living crisis .
FSB members will see cost savings and other benefits by signing up with Tyl , subject to eligibility criteria as part of the partnership . Insight from Tyl by NatWest found that eight out of 10 businesses could save on fees when switching from an existing card payment provider to Tyl by NatWest .
Data reveals most successful start-ups of the decade
New data has revealed the top 10 most successful start-ups of the decade .
The Startup Success Index , by software development experts at Vention , analysed a list of 1,220 start-ups from CB Insights , against its valuation , the public perception of the company through search volume , its growth score and the number of employees . Results for each category were converted into an overall score out of 100 to determine the ranking .
Online fast fashion retailer , SHEIN , topped the list as the number one most successful start-up of the decade , scoring 87.12 . TikTok owner , ByteDance , ranked second , ChatGPT developer , OpenAI , third , FinTech start-up , Stripe , ranked fourth and Databricks was fifth .
FinTech company , Revolut , followed behind in sixth place , Canva was in seventh place , Epic Games in eighth place , the digital collaboration platform , Miro , was in ninth place and Chime rounded off the list in tenth place . �
