Acumatica adds embedded AI to cloud ERP

A cumatica has announced the general availability of 2026 R2, the latest release of its cloud ERP platform for mid-market businesses. The update features embedded AI, modern analytics, streamlined user experience and industry-specific enhancements designed to help organisations improve productivity, make faster decisions and scale more efficiently.

“ Growing businesses aren’ t looking for more AI experiments; they’ re looking for practical AI solutions that empower teams to work smarter every day,” said Jon Pollock, Chief Product Officer at Acumatica.“ With 2026 R2, we’ ve embedded intelligent capabilities throughout the platform while continuing to simplify the user experience and deliver deeper innovations tailored to the specific industries our customers serve.”
The new product release introduces innovative capabilities across AI, analytics, user experience and Industry Editions to help teams reduce manual work, increase visibility and act faster.
AI that improves productivity
Acumatica continues to expand its AIfirst strategy by embedding intelligence directly into everyday ERP workflows. New capabilities in AI Assistant and AI Automation help teams quickly and seamlessly answer business questions, detect anomalies, automate repetitive tasks and trigger prompt-driven workflows without leaving Acumatica. Conversational dashboard management and configurable AI experiences help teams unlock greater productivity while keeping firm control over their business processes.
With 2026 R2, all customers will automatically transition to Acumatica’ s modern user interface, creating a more consistent and intuitive experience across the platform.
Modern analytics for faster decision-making
2026 R2 lays the foundation for a unified, always-current view of the business with a high-performance governed data source that surfaces everywhere teams need it – in dashboards, financial statements and now in the AI tools they already use.
Two advances anchor this shift:
• Native data warehouse: Reporting and analytics now run against a dedicated, performance-optimised copy of ERP data instead of the live transactional database, so reports don’ t compete for system resources with day-to-day order entry, invoicing and approvals.
• Model Context Protocol( MCP) connection: Organisations can securely connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other MCP-compatible
AI tools directly to their Acumatica data without exporting, uploading or duplicating information in a separate AI workspace. Role-based permissions, inherited security and field-level data masking automatically carry over, allowing teams to use the AI tools they already rely on while IT retains centralised governance and auditability for every query.
Innovation across every industry edition
Acumatica continues to deliver purposebuilt capabilities that address the unique operational needs of key industries.
• Construction: New Service Management and construction exchange applications help contractors improve field coordination, strengthen collaboration and gain better visibility across the project lifecycle. AI-powered assistance further streamlines document management, reporting and task automation.
• Manufacturing: Shop Floor Kiosk 2.0, APS Engine integration and production planning enhancements help manufacturers improve scheduling, optimise shop floor execution and make more informed production decisions with AI-assisted insights.
• Distribution: New Available-to- Promise functionality, intelligent picking strategies and unified materials management help distributors improve fulfilment accuracy, increase warehouse efficiency and deliver more reliable customer commitments.
• E-commerce: Improved connector stability, expanded BigCommerce capabilities and Acumatica Payments integrations help retailers streamline e-commerce operations and payment experiences.
