Young people feel the strain of cutbacks most overtime because of a high workload and too much to do within the regular hours, while 37 % confess they do it because of deadline pressures.

In the UK, 81 % of workers claim to have a good work / life balance. With flexible and hybrid working inspiring the culture, workloads across different businesses are changing, but which workers are doing the most overtime?

Adobe Express has conducted an extensive study, to find out exactly which industries and cities are doing the most overtime, the benefits of it, the downside and the amount of time spent extra in the office or on site.
Although a third of Brits( 31 %) admit that the main reason they work overtime is for extra income with overtime pay, workload is the core reason workers are having to spend extra time at the workplace. In fact, 41 % claim they work
Interestingly, Adobe found that 35 % of young people aged between 18-24, are working overtime due to staff shortages and a lack of adequate resources – more than any other age group. This reflects how young people are feeling the brunt of widespread cutbacks within companies the most, often being tasked with extra responsibilities or difficult jobs as businesses tighten budgets and reduce staffing.
Forty percent are happy with their current role and the amount of overtime they are doing, admitting they aren’ t currently looking to leave their job and won’ t look in future. However, 21 % are currently looking and have been offered a position elsewhere, whilst 19 % are currently looking but haven’ t been offered anything yet.
Tide becomes first business banking provider to launch mobile plans globally, powered by Gigs

Tide, a UK leading business management platform, and Gigs, a leader in embedded connectivity, have announced the launch of Tide Business Phone Number( BPN), a mobile service built for small businesses and fully embedded in the Tide app. This marks the first time a business banking provider has integrated a full mobile plan with UK phone number directly into its platform.

The launch is designed to help Tide’ s nearly 800,000 UK members( 14 % of the small business market) better separate their personal and professional lives. For many founders, running a business still means juggling personal phones, contracts and suppliers alongside their work. Tide BPN removes that friction by giving business owners a simple and affordable way to manage communications separately on a single device, without compromising their privacy or credibility.
Tide BPN is available for free to members on Smart, Pro and Max plans, offering a business number with unlimited calls and texts. Unlike comparable plans, Tide BPN does not impose annual price increases or credit checks and users can cancel at any time in the Tide app.
Heather Cobb, UK Managing Director at Tide, said:“ Small business owners tell us time and again that admin gets in the way of doing what they actually set out to do – running and growing their business.”
