Digital Transformation group launches new brand to target mid-market business modernisation
Aliter Capital has launched a new brand called TXP( Technology x People) incorporating digital services provider, Jumar, and IT resourcing firm, Concept.
TXP will focus on IT consultancy, technology development and people resourcing, combining a highly experienced digital team with industryleading IT resourcing capabilities, to address the evolving modernisation needs of mid-market organisations.
“ There’ s a significant opportunity to support mid-sized organisations across financial services, healthcare, retail and the public sector, whose internal IT teams may not have the resources or some of the specialist skillsets to drive the growth and innovation they need,” said John Antunes, CEO, TXP.
“ This gap isn’ t being addressed by the traditional larger systems integrators and yet it’ s critically important for mid-sized organisations to avoid a piecemeal approach to business modernisation. TXP strives to solve their most challenging problems with a joined-up approach to technology and people.”
TXP will be headquartered in Birmingham, with regional offices in Dudley, Milton Keynes and London. In the West Midlands, TXP aims to create 100 new jobs through organic growth, making a significant contribution to the local economy over the same period.
“ Our business is closely aligned with Aliter’ s buy-and-build strategy and we’ re actively looking to acquire companies that enhance our capabilities and most importantly meet the evolving needs of our clients,” said Antunes.
Majority of mid-market organisations intend to migrate applications or workloads from the public cloud over the next 12 months
New independent research commissioned by Node4 reveals 97 % of mid-market companies plan to migrate some workloads out of their public cloud environments over the next 12 months. However, far from signalling the end of public cloud, this trend reflects a more targeted and pragmatic approach, where organisations optimise location and workload in environments that work best for their specific needs.
“ Mid-market organisations are entering a new phase of cloud strategy, one defined by pragmatism, not dogma,” said Richard Moseley, CEO, Node4.“ Most still have a substantial footprint of on-premises infrastructure and applications running in the public cloud. This demonstrates a clear preference for hybrid environments and a shift from cloud-first to cloudappropriate. We believe this will be the mid-market’ s default setting for the foreseeable future.”
According to Unlocking Growth in the Mid-Market: The Node4 Report, performance considerations top the list of reasons for migrating selected applications away from public cloud environments and are due to:
• Lift and shift workloads that were unsuited to the public cloud
• Applications that have been modernised but aren’ t performing as expected
• User frustrations from SaaS application latency
