New UK trade directory solves online visibility challenges for small trade businesses

Trusted Tradesman creates a powerful web presence for more than 1,000 verified professionals, addressing critical digital marketing gap.

Small trade businesses across the UK are gaining unprecedented online visibility thanks to Trusted Tradesman, an innovative directory that has already created more than 1,000 professionally optimised web pages for verified tradespeople throughout the country.
Research shows that while 97 % of consumers search online for local services, many skilled tradespeople lack effective digital presences due to time constraints and technical barriers. Trusted Tradesman directly addresses this problem by providing each business with a comprehensive web page featuring detailed service descriptions, coverage areas, qualifications and customer reviews – all optimised by SEO specialists to attract search engine traffic.
The platform’ s unique community approach means each business benefits from being part of a larger ecosystem. Internal linking between related pages and shared domain authority create a network effect that improves visibility for all participants, something individual websites typically cannot achieve.
Unlike conventional directories offering minimal information, Trusted Tradesman pages function as standalone websites within the larger platform. This is particularly valuable for the significant percentage of trade businesses operating primarily through social media or word-ofmouth referrals.
National roadshow kicks off to get businesses exporting and grow the economy

SMEs from across the UK benefit from new government support to match them up with international buyers and markets to turbocharge UK exports and grow the economy as part of the Plan for Change.

The Made in the UK, Sold to the World roadshows have been designed to directly connect international buyers with SME exporters ready to seize the opportunity to grow their businesses. Through these events, the government is working to maximise international opportunities for UK businesses by highlighting tangible opportunities that exist in new markets.
Gareth Thomas, Minister for Services, Small Businesses and Exports, said:“ Maximising the UK’ s export potential is crucial to achieving our Plan for Change, by creating good jobs with high wages, raising productivity and boosting the economy.
“ The government is focusing on supporting key growth sectors, making it quicker and easier for smaller businesses to connect with markets, grasp export opportunities and expand.”
The 97 buyers span 19 markets worldwide, from Argentina to Austria, Thailand, Turkey, Mexico, India and the UAE.
All roadshow events provided opportunities for delegates to meet with domestic and International Commercial Officers, who were on hand to offer expert support and advice on specific products, markets and export opportunities.
