Intelligent SME . tech . On this month ’ s front cover , we feature Kimi Gilbert , Managing Partner of Future Factory . Future Factory is a leading business development consultancy in the UK helping creative agencies grow . She talks about how the company was founded , saying : “ What we identified is that the reason agencies dislike sales is because it ’ s wrapped up in a whole bunch of negative stereotypes . We wanted to prove that sales could be done in an intelligent , ethical way and that a nuanced , research-based approach to selling would get amazing results .”
Gilbert also discusses how the company has grown from the three founders working in their living rooms to 75 employees split across three locations . She has 13 years ’ experience working across a range of disciplines and supporting agencies big and small . She has an MA in Human Rights from UCL and , as a proud Asian woman and member of the LGBTQIA + community , she is a fierce advocate for achieving greater diversity within the creative industries . Email security can feel prohibitively expensive or complex for SMEs . Rick Goud , Chief Innovation Officer and Co-founder at Zivver , explains why that does not need to be the case and emphasises the importance of comprehensive outbound email protection measures . Turn to page 41 .
