Sky Media launches ‘ Footprint Fund ’ spin-off to support sustainable SMEs
Sky Media , the advertising arm of Sky , has announced that its award-winning Sky Zero Footprint Fund is launching an additional initiative dedicated to SME and local businesses called ‘ Local Heroes ’.
Launched in 2021 , The Sky Zero Footprint Fund initiative was created to inspire positive behaviour change and help start-ups and established brands accelerate their sustainable initiatives nationally , using the power of TV .
The new fund brings the same promise to local and regional businesses . The ‘ Sky Zero Footprint Fund Local Heroes ’ will be awarding nine businesses from different regions of the UK and the Republic of Ireland £ 20,000 /€ 20,000 of media value to spend on a TV campaign as well as up to £ 2,500 /€ 2,500 towards ad creation from a local production agency .
The ‘ Local Heroes ’ will be selected through a combination of public vote and local judging .

Binarii Labs to receive € 400,000 in Enterprise Ireland start-up funding
Peter Burke TD , Minister for Enterprise , Trade and Employment in Ireland , announced that Binarii Labs , a data security solution developer , has secured an investment of € 400,000 from Enterprise Ireland in High Potential Start- Up ( HPSU ) match funding , bringing to € 3 million the total raised by the company to date .
The company , which was founded in 2021 , has also announced that it plans to create over 100 new jobs in Ireland by 2027 and has already created over 20 new roles in recent months . The new jobs will include roles in specialist deep tech research and development , data security , tech and customer support , marketing and business development .
With the funding raised to date and the planned new jobs , Binarii Labs , headquartered at NovaUCD in Dublin , is focused on growing the international market for BinariiDSP , the company ’ s proprietary and patented data security platform .
Government launches SME growth and opportunity programme to provide coordinated support for SME growth in Ghana
The government in Ghana , through the Ministries of Finance and Trade and Industry and partnering agencies , has launched the SME Growth and Opportunity Programme .
The SME Programme prioritises coordination between partnering agencies to ensure the targeted delivery of financial and technical support to highgrowth potential SMEs .

Ghana , H . E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo , at a summit under the theme Breaking Barriers to SME Growth .
The Minister for Finance , Dr Mohammed Amin Adam said : “ The summit aims to enhance partnerships , mobilise diverse financial resources for SMEs growth and expansion and provide a platform for public and private sector actors to advocate inclusive policies and strategies required to foster SME growth in Ghana .”
The event brought together SMEs , financial service providers , business and regulatory compliance institutions and featured an exhibition of SME products . �
