Extreme Tech Challenge comes to Switzerland for the first time
Decisive , the disruptive next-generation wealth advisor , Sangha , the early-stage sustainable tech investment fund , and the University of Zurich , are partnering to bring Extreme Tech Challenge ( XTC ) – one of the world ’ s largest global start-up competitions for purpose-driven companies – to Switzerland for the first time .
The competition aims to accelerate start-ups changing the world for the better through innovative technologies by providing the opportunity for global visibility and access to investment capital , corporate strategic partnerships and world-class mentorship .
In 2021 alone , the competition attracted over 3,700 start-up applications from nearly 100 countries . A total of 80 start-up finalists were selected , with 43 % of those being female founded . The finalist cohort collectively raised over US $ 166 million in venture investment since being selected . XTC now boasts 21 regional competitions and 71 global partners comprised of corporations , venture capital firms , universities , policymakers and tech conferences .
Forghetti joins forces with CSL Mobile Limited to revolutionise password security
Security tech start-up and app Forghetti has announced an exclusive cybersecurity agreement with CSL Mobile Limited , one of Hong Kong ’ s leading mobile communications service providers , to equip csl and 1010 customers with the innovative Forghetti password management solution .
This unique application will be made available free of charge to all csl and 1010 customers subscribing to 5G service plans .
People today routinely rely on more than 50 online services , each of which requires a username and password . Research shows using the same passwords for multiple services makes life much easier for hackers and often leads to the innocent losing money and / or personal data .

European AI start-up landscape is growing
During this year ’ s virtual Swedish Innovation Days , the updated version of the European AI landscape was presented . The first version of the landscape was first launched at the end of 2020 and included over 500 startups from Germany , France and Sweden .
The collaboration is now excited to welcome start-ups from the Netherlands and soon Norway as well . The goal of the landscape is to give companies guidance and promising start-ups a visible platform , benefiting both parties and driving the adoption of AI .
Additionally , it demonstrates the innovative strength of European start-ups and the willingness of European countries to collaborate in order to gain technological sovereignty .
